That’s why we’re currently developing a mobile app that automatically records and reports potholes as you drive.
How does it work?
Once our app is downloaded on you mobile phone, it runs in the background and uses location services and accelerometer and gyroscope to intelligently sense when your car drives over a pothole.
Our app is completely handsfree and causes no disruption to other phone features you might be using while driving (like GPS or bluetooth streaming).

Information about the location and severity of pothole is recorded and used to automatically report the pothole to the City of Winnipeg on your behalf, so that city crews can be notified when new potholes are formed around Winnipeg. Our app also notifies you when potholes on your route have been fixed.
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!
Our mobile app also collects data on how many and how frequently users are driving over potholes that haven’t been fixed yet and keeps this data over time. Why is that important? This historical data can be used to inform the city on where potholes are most likely to occur and are most disruptive to drivers, so that city planning can work on more permanent solutions to repair and prevent potholes from forming.
